Lantanas

(photo of lantana snagged from BrandyPa777

All my life, I have remembered this flower for it's pretty multicolored blooms. They smell like some type of vegetable, but very pretty for flower bouquets or arrangements.
Looking at Alabama Forestry Commissions website. I found this is the one flower that may keep deer away. This perennial is great as a border in the edges of your flowers.
If you want to make an arrangement from them, the best way to do so is to put them in an arrangement by themselves. Sometimes wild fern is good along as a green border. I found the best way to put them in an arrangement is by themselves in a small clear glass vase.
The lantana is extremely poisonous. Please don't attempt to eat it as a wild flower. There are some wild flowers that are edible, not this one. Usually the really pungent ones are not edible. You can read in a field guide which ones are good for you. Eating them could cause your death. This plant is so deadly, it's been banned from Africa. Enjoy looking at these pretty flowers as one of God's beautiful things, but don't eat it unless you want to be buried under it with no deer around!
