The Japanese Waterweed is an aquatic plant that grows invasive throughout the United States. Egeria Densa can grow up to 4m  long. The plant produces a very beautiful large pale yellow blossom.  An interesting fact is that it produces mostly male plants which are a few inches larger than females. Certain growers of Aquatic plants don't grow them anymore because they are highly invasive and multiply like crazy.

Egera Densa keeps algae from growing so much because of a toxicity level to it.  Like water chestnuts and other forms of water plants, it grows very richly in huge wads that make boat passage harder although it can make fishing pretty easy during a sunny day when they need shade. If you want to keep Egera Densa in an Aquarium you have to keep it divided and trimmed because it gets large and vast.
