The Oxeye daisy grows in Alabama's wild in the Appalachians. They multiply and let off a sweet fragrance that the bees and butterflies love from every stitch of the forest. They can grow to be about two to three feet high. It's according to how much sun these pretty little flowers get. When they get older, they leave seeds just like a mammoth sunflower.
These flowers are usually found in the edges of brush and woods. I couldn't find a listing under The Alabama State Forestry Commission which is a website that I love to visit for my invasive research.
These flowers like to grow in rich soil or loose sand, it's all according to where you find them. They will come up each year unlike the mammoth sunflower because these are perennials. Some remedies that were used with the ox eye were to flavor tea with the honey. Cure Bronchitis and loosen fever and lung congestion. I don't know how you use this. See a native herbalist that can tell you exactly how to use this plant as the rest of these.
