Eurasian Milfoil
(wikipedia myriophyllum spicatum)
Eurasian Milfoil is a very invasive species found in Alabama's Waterways. It's found throughout the United States and South America. It's considered nothing more than a pest.
These plants can range from evergreen colored to the lightest of pink. The leaves are almost like feathers that feel around under fresh water. The blooms of the milfoil are very small. They look like small spikes on the foliage.
Plants like these clean the fresh water and provide a healthy environment in the lakes, rivers and ponds throughout the state. Every environment within the state has to be cultivated for a healthy environment. Too much of one thing isn't healthy for waterways or out of water.
