The Bob White Quail is one of my favorite birds in Alabama. The problem is that I don't hear them as much as I used to anymore. These wild birds can be tamed as well as a cat and raised in captivity. Mostly hunters like getting the wild birds because they have a taste much better than Wild Turkey or Cornish Hen.
Watch these videos and see for yourself why I love these beautiful birds. My brother and I raised a few of them when we were kids. Although ours had a bit of a wild streak, they were so beautiful and easy to raise. It is so neat to hear these beautiful things call "Bob Bob White"! They love wild bird seed and if you live in the wilderness like I do, you will notice you'll see Mommy and a few chicks looking for insects in the grasses of your back yard.
The conservationists are doing everything they can to protect Bob Whites. They elliminate the deer tick population, so please consider helping conservationist preserve these wonderful animals and contact your local government to see how you can protect them in the wild. The more quail you have running around, the less infections and bites you'll get from ticks. Thanks for reading and here's those videos that I promised!
