(Blue Grosbeak found at http://wikipedia.org under creative commons)
This little beautiful Blue Grosbeak is a passerine and a nut and berry bird like the Cardinal. The little grosbeak male has a bright blue color and sometime's mistaken for a type blue jay or bluebird. The male has a beautiful blue coloring similar to both of the birds. Like the cardinal, the female has a mottled brown color mixed with a little bit of blue. It's still pretty beautiful. The males love to show off at spring time and put on a show to woo the female.
This little bird is a migratory bird. It has been found in Northern Mexico to our southeastern states (Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi)
It's song is a little similar to the red cardinal only different type of tweeting it doesn't have the "Wordy Wordy" tone the cardinal has, but rather a faster tweeting and chirping here's a link to the little bird's song

This bird although the smartest of many passerines has been red listed on it's on http://www.iucnredlist.org/ The redlist for threatened birds. Many birds on this list have been brought back into thet habitat, but many people don't care any more in the fast paced world around it.
