The foamflowers you see to the left grow in North Alabama. They are small feathery like flowers that grow in clusters.The small flowers wilt into a ball when their blossoms go. The blossoms open up towards the light. They have five peddles and an equal amount of anthers on the stem.
Foamflowers can be found throughout fields, riverbanks and near water. The reason why they are called foam flowers are because the flowers act as foam from soap or as water hits over the rocks into a foamy suds in the river. The white water is fuzzy and white and the shrivels into buds and emulates fizz.
The flowers have a leaf that is simillar to a popilar or a muscadine leaf. It has five large points. The plants grow in the shade and small animals disperses seeds for distribution. The plant has small stems which are rhizomes and gather plenty of moisture to keep the plant nourished.
The flower comes from the plant Saxifrageles there are three types in the species line. This flower's species name is Tiarella polyphylla (link is on wikipedia.com. Tiarella polyphylla is easy to get in with your garden, so if you don't appreciate the foam flower, better throw them away from your plants. They stay thirsty.
