Racoons

(this little cutie was found at wikipedia and it's under creative commons law)

They get on the porch at night and eat your cats food, they hang from trees and watch us come down the steps so they can get into something when we aren't looking. They are wild animals, but they are so darn cute we can't help but to give them a treat every now and then, BUT we have to be aware of the dangers called Rabies.
Racoons are the main carrier of Rabies from any other animals in the wild. I have never seen a rabid white tail deer jump over a few dead trees to eat anyone alive. Researchers, Wild life conservationists and many others are working hard to make sure all our little coon friends are safe from rabies. They tag those who have had the shot so that others know hey this little coon's ok.
Coons are very smart and they enjoy a good challenge every chance they get.  Eventhough these little cute pests are canines, they have intelligence that can be matched by primates such as lemurs. They chow down on acorns, nuts, small invertebrate animals and other little animals that make a nice snack.
Like I said before they will hang out at your outdoor pet's food bowl and eat and wash it's hands in your pets water bowl. If you are afraid of germs, just bring your pets bowl in for the night. That's all for me. We had three coons to eat food every single night on our porch. There was a mother and two smaller ones. It was so cute to see them eat. I enjoyed having them
