Mockingbird

(mimus polyglottos found at wikimedia commons creative commons 3.0)

The Mockingbird is a passerine with an innate nature to mimic everything it hears to win the love of it's mate. I usually hear them really early in the morning walking the dog. He can mimic anything from frogs chirping, other bird calls, and other noises he puts into his song.
He does it in such a sing-sing way that it's actually interesting to pick out what exactly he is going to say next. Their next relatives are Thrashers. The sage thrasher can also be found in this area. Both Sages and Mockingbirds belong to the mimidae class.
