Passiflora Incarnata Fruit

(please forgive image drew it from gimp)

The passionfruit that grows throughout the southeastern united states grows on a vine called the "passionflower" which is listed in another blog. The fruit is a really neat little egg shaped fruit.

The egg shaped fruit is smells like a septic tank leaking, it grows from 4 inches to 6 inches and hangs from the vine like a tear drop. When you take the fruit from it's vine it has a leathery exterior. Kelly green in color, it hides inside the passionfruit vine and with kudzu vine that helps it camoflage the fruit.

Inside the fruit there's tons of seeds like a melon or squash. The seeds are covered in pearly white flesh. The interior looks like a thin layer of sterofoam. It's foamy and pourous lining the seeds like a bed for them. The plant is edible but it is feels more like a nerf football.
