Swollen Bladderwart (Ultricularia Inflata) is a plant known in the Eastern United States for being one of the best pesticides around water areas. Swollen bladderwart has been found from the southern most tip of Florida to as far as Maryland. It has been spotted very scarcely throughout this trail. Every insect extinguishing plant along the southeastern to the northeastern trail has scarcely dying throughout the diminishing ecosystems of birds, small mammals and some needed insects. The environment we currently live in tells us that it's in need of some care before it's too late. These plants are aquatic and hangout in fresh water.
This plant is not only a blessing to the ecosystem for killing insects, but it also comes back every single year. It was named by Thomas Walter in 1788. Barry Rice has a wonderful book written about Carniverous Plants within the United States.
