Green Algae

(first pic came from wikipedia, second two photobucket under cc law)

This stuff is numerous there are numerous types of these green slimy plants that invade Alabama's fresh waters and coastlines every year. Many people have engineered them into biodiesel fuels, fine cuisine and artworks. If you look to the left, you'll notice many different shapes, and patterns of the plant. Fish love the stuff, but they don't need to be suffocated by the stuff.

If you seen the Beijing Olympics a year or so back, their coastlines were flooded with a type, fortunate for us, their type doesn't grow here. Alabama's one of the leading states that produce
fresh water and fresh fish for surrounding states. Our waterways is one of the safest for human consumption. Even though consumption is  safe, it's spores isn't safe on our allergies and noses. If you are sneezing, it's possible that spores are in the air!
