Freshwater Mullusks are found around the Lake Martin area and other lakes throughout the State of Alabama. The Glebula Rotundata aren't really eaten much by other animals because there are pesticides in the skin. The mullel shells can be picked up along the shores and painted for children's jewelry and other crafts. The mussels are just around for the sheer joy of eating plankton and other type of microscopic organisms in the lakes.
