The Chickadee

(chickadee photograph under creative commons found at flickr.com)

Chickadee, titmice and other passerdine birds are found all over the world. This particullar type called the Chickadee can be found in Northern Africa. Their song "Chicka-dee-dee-dee!" Is exactly why they are given such a cutsy little name.
This little bird is about the size of a grass-bird you might see eating seeds on the forest floor amongst the old leaves fallen from the fall into winter. Grubs like to hang out around there.
The Chickadee is not indifferent to looking for seeds and insects. The little bird sharp little beak perfect for splitting apart seed and eating the insides and taking care of an icky insect.
Chickadees are known by their rapid heartbeats which tick rapidly. Their heartbeat 540 beats per second and normal temperature about 103 degrees celsius. They do alot of flying and eat lots of food because of the rapid heartbeat, small size and etc.
The chickadees have no major mating show like the mocking bird and ruffled tail grouse.   They choose their mates, build their nests or nest in man-made birdhouses. Bird watchers love them for their cute little song and birdiness!  They are found throughout the state of Alabama and many other states in the United States
