Snail Kite

(snail kite found at flickr creative commons)

The Snail Kite (Rostrhamus sociabilis) is a bird found around the swamplands of Alabama. They love hanging out near water. They love eating the apple snails and other stuff like crayfish. They are mostly found in Florida, but they can be found in places like Alabama's wetlands, Florida's wetlands and many places in South America. They really favor the falcon by face, but they are called kites because of their their rounded wings.
